Workshop on European Media and Culture Policies and Community Outreach
“Workshop and Community Outreach Activity on European Media and Culture Policies” will be held on June 15, 2009 in Istanbul. The workshop will bring together representatives from European Union 's policy making institutions, European and Turkish scholars, Turkish government officials and media professionals to discuss the existing EU policies in relation to media; the implementation of these policies in the Turkish context; and to propose methods or models for encouraging and enlarging the universities' community outreach. Workshop on Media Portrayals of Turks in Germany
Our forth workshop was held on June 3rd, 2009 in Potsdam and brought together representatives of the Turkish community in Germany, representatives from German-Turkish media production, representative from media politics and media scholars working on representation and media with specific focus on the portrayal of Turks in German Media as well as the project team of University Potsdam and University of Applied Sciences Potsdam.
