About This Project

Public Certificate Program on European Media and Culture

The joint degree programme in European Media and Cultural Studies will try to integrate a wide array of interested non-academic communities through a certificate programme on European Media and Culture which will be free-of-charge and open to the public. The certificate programme will focus on the promotion and constitution of public awareness on the history and contemporary processes of European media and culture.

Educational Outreach Activities

A selected group of projects from the competition on “Media, Social Integration, and Europeanness” will be presented and displayed at two different high schools in Istanbul’s low-income neighbourhoods. This activity is intended to raise awareness among high school students on European media and culture and the aspects of social integration, equal rights, and gender issues in both European and Turkish.
